This is a tough one.
I have 8.1 million images spread across 36 Image Services, each with their own ISP. I have a custom Image Service client using the ISClient.dll in VB.NET.
The Image Services work fine in ArcMap. The Image Services work fine in my test desktop app using my custom client. The specific ISClient.dll method fails in a web method with zero debugging opportunity. Basically, the Worker Process completely exits (crashes) without running the Catch or Finally or the unhandled exception event; all of which are supposed to be protected for just this reason. I've never seen anything like this.
I've had this issue with a few locations in only two of my image services, but it is repeatable at those locations. There are no errors in the Image Service. Nothing in the logs.
Any suggestions would be great?
