Slow Basemap Load Times?

We've been working on our site: http://data.cupertino.opendata.arcgis.com/  and we've noticed the map loads very slowly. The data will display reasonably quickly, but our basemap (light grey canvas) seems to take much longer to load. Anyone else having similar issues or know of a potential solution?

Hi Teri, are you still experiencing issues? I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary when I visited your site.
