Hi,

I'm working in ArcGIS Online, building an Open Data portal.

Is it possible to use a custom web map as the basemap when looking at a feature layer? I would like to give the data some context. For example, when looking at well data I would like to include exploration blocks as part of the basemap.

Thanks

Hanlie

Hi @HanliePetoors ,

are you going to build an Online App? In Experience Builder you can import a web map as basemap easily. Otherwise I think you'll need to build a tile layer first.

Best,

Ziqing

@ZiqingYu I'm building an Open Data portal as an ArcGIS Hub site. I'm not working in Experience Builder.

Well, Eventhough Experiencebuilder is still an option, using <iframe> label in HTML you can insert this app into your hub page (Actually you don't need html, just choose iframe layout from hub)

or you can export the map as a wms layer or a raster file, which can be used as basemap in map viewer.

I think you're misunderstanding my question.  I'm talking about the basemap in this interface:

It displays one feature layer at a time but it would be useful if I could put other contextual layers on the basemap.
