Hello.  I am trying to create an Open Data Site for my organization.  I have uploaded data, but in the data report tab i get several error and warning messages.  These include:

Error: Record Count query failed. Server responded with [ Error performing query operation ].

Warning: Ids Only query failed. Server responded with [ Error performing query operation ].

Warning: Other errors listed prevented statistics from being generated for any fields in this dataset.

Does anyone have any idea how to resolve these?  ArcGIS's help section isn't very helpful.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Hi Brian,

There could be any number of issues causing these failures on your server. The best thing to do is bring these messages to support and have them work through your particular server configuration and service definition. Unfortunately, there's not much we can tell you about how to resolve these issues without access to those things.

We're working on common fixes, but it's going to take time to gather those.

Please let me know if support is unable to help you fix this problem.

I too am getting this error, very frequently, but very randomly. At any time, up to 20% of my organizations open data  is not discoverable due to this, which is precluding me from using Opendata until it's more stable. Any idea on when there will be fixes?

If you are seeing an error that says record count query failed, this is not something that the Open Data team can fix because it is an error with your map service. The Esri Support team will be able to help you work through this error.

I am also getting this, randomly, for difference services each time, even though I can access the service just fine. Can you confirm that this also falls into Esri Support responsibility?

Error: Http status of 404 returned from GET request to https://services1.arcgis.com/fBc8EJBxQRMcHlei/arcgis/rest/services/GRSM_FISH_DISTRIBUTION_2015/Featu....

Error: Layer ( https://services1.arcgis.com/fBc8EJBxQRMcHlei/arcgis/rest/services/GRSM_FISH_DISTRIBUTION_2015/Featu... ) could not be harvested. Please see other messages for details.

Yes, I can confirm that this falls into their responsibility. If our application receives a 404 when trying to make routine requests, there is no way we can add it to our index. Support will get the Open Data team involved when/if there are steps we can take.

Try that route and if you don't get anywhere, let me know and we'll take a fresh look.

Daniel
