Buffer Features failed. - No edits producing database changes were found.

Hi all,

I am trying to construct a buffer around this specific selected poly.  It is a multipoly feature layer that is by all other means editable.  However, when I try to use the 'Modify Features' Buffer, it shows the following error screen.  I haven't found a lot of resources about this tool online, but it seems simple enough that it should work.  What am I doing wrong here?

The problem turned out to be the 'Dissolve' option.  Once I turned that off, it worked fine.
