A Question on ArcGIS Hub / Open Data.

Is there a timeframe for supporting https on custom domains?  If not, is there currently a workaround that can be applied (requesting a new ssl, etc..) to ensure https traffic has no issue accessing the custom domain?

We have issued HTTPS certificates for all the existing custom domains that we could. We ran into a few that had issues with how their domain issuing authority set up their domain that we're working through.

Later this year we'll be adding support for enforcement on your custom domains.

Please test out your domain over HTTPS and let me know if you have problems!

Edit: also all new custom domains registered to a Hub Site should get their HTTPS certificate within 24 hours

We are actively working on it. Hope to have something in July or August. Once completed, the feature will upgrade existing HTTP custom domains to also support HTTPS automatically (if all goes to plan).

Hi Graham Hudgins,

Any further news on this?  Has this been implemented yet ??

Is there a bug or change I can add my details to so I can be notified when this is finalised?

Thanks
Pete

I know we are off on the timeline I provided above but it's still a top priority. Our implementation will upgrade your custom domain to HTTPS automatically when it goes live. I will post here when it's out!

Any movement on this?

Yes...the system is very close to going out. You will automatically get an HTTPS certificate for your existing custom domain. Part of our massive delays have been ensuring the system is secure since we will be issuing a certificate for your domain.

This is is one of those times on a product team where I have to admit to you, our customer, that we miss judged the timeline in a very significant way. The team working on this hasn’t stopped working and won’t stop working until it’s done. We know just how important secured connections are

apologies again. It’s moving just not at the speed I thought back in July.

Any updates on this?  We would also like to use an https custom domain.  It sporadically causes issues with different browsers as http.  THANKS!
