I am in the process of designing a ArcGIS Mobile client for a utility customer who specialises in handling massive images (150k+ images in 20 layers ) obtained from multiple sources as TIFF files with TFW world file. These images change every three weeks. The data needs to be made available to the field user using laptop with ArcGIS Mobile online and offline(to handle field workers to work duing emergency situations).
I am aware of the fact that Raster images included in a Map Cache are supported by ArcGIS Mobile. BUT the images keep changing frequently. So the task of creating and updating the cache is a long drawn process and would require lots of time
Now i am thinking of a solution that would copy the relevant images for each user (would be few hundreds) from a server using Internet and store them locally in the laptop and finally display it using TFW files to georeference the image.
My question is does ArcGIS Mobile support displaying Raster images using the world file TFW?
