I am working on a couple of small projects but do not have server as a resource for publishing mobile projects.  I am working with a Trimble Juno running Windows Mobile 6.1 and am looking for some direction as to the best way to publish mobile projects to that device.

How do you publish mobile projects to arcgis online and if not that where do I put projects so that the juno can see the project on startup of mobile?

Jeremiah,

Without ArcGIS Server you will not utilize ArcGIS Online to store your projects.

Using only desktop tools, you will use the Create Mobile Map geoprocessing tool within the Mobile Tools toolbox to create your MobileCache and associated .amp file.

The MobileCache and .amp file both need to be stored in a folder.  That outer folder is your "project" folder.

This project folder needs to be stored in ...\My Documents\ArcGIS Mobile on your Juno.

If you don't have an ArcGIS Mobile folder within My Documents, you'll need to create one.  Note that there is a space between the words ArcGIS and Mobile, not an underscore.

If you have an SD card in your Juno, the project folder can reside in ...\My Documents\ArcGIS Mobile either in main memory or on the SD card.

After the project folder containing the MobileCache folder and .amp file is located in the ArcGIS Mobile folder within My Documents, ArcGIS Mobile will recognize it at startup.

An important thing to keep in mind is that if you intend to edit or capture new features within a feature class, it must have GlobalID's before you create the MobileCache.

Once you're done with your editing, you'll copy the project folder back to your desktop machine and use the Synchronize Mobile Cache tool within the Mobile Tools toolbox to sync the edits back to your geodatabase.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,  I was able to find the folders and use mobile successfully on the Juno.  Thank you for the help.
