Predictive text in ArcGIS Mobile 10.1.1

Greetings All

I've set up an AGM project with domains for easy data entry. When the project is loaded onto a Samsung Slate (Win7), the domain values show up as buttons with no way of filtering the list (think massive list of tree species).

BUT...when I load the same project onto a Trimble Nomad (WM 6.1) I get a search string function along with a list of the domain values. Typing the first few letters starts filtering the list. Seriously handy feature.

Does anyone know how to filter the domains on tablets?

Searching on domains on the Windows Mobile devices is relatively new.  We had the same problem - huge domains (500+ species in some cases) and had to scroll through the lists on our Trimble Nomads and Junos.  We made a suggestion to ESRI to add search and/or autofill-like functionality to domains and it happened.  Be sure they are aware of you needs and you just may get the feature you want!

That's what stumps me. A very nice function to solve a common issue, but restricted to a particular type of hardware.

The issue doesn't go away when using a different device, so why not implement across all devices? I can only imagine that ESRI developers dont understand how their software is actually being used in the field.
