Mobile toolbox missing

I'm running a v10 SP1 EDN-licensed version of ArcEditor, and according to the Mobile Toolbox Licensing page on the Desktop Help, I should have the Mobile toolbox tools, but I don't.  The toolbox file is not in either of the expected installed locations (Desktop10.0\ArcToolBox\Toolboxes or Server10.0\ArcToolBox\Toolboxes).

Any ideas why this might be so?

I verified that I have build 2475, even though this shouldn't affect ArcEditor users (the mobile toolboxes were not available to ArcView users before that build).  So, still not sure why I don't have the Mobile toolbox.

Thoughts?

Chris,

Perhaps you simply need to add the Mobile Tools toolbox from System toolboxes.

1 - Open ArcToolbox and right-click in any whitespace area of ArcToolbox > select Add Toolbox option.
2 - In Add Toolbox window, navigate to \Program Files\ArcGIS\Mobile10.0\ArcToolbox\Toolboxes and select Mobile Tools.tbx > click Open.
3 - Mobile Tools toolbox should now display in ArcToolbox; consists of Create Mobile Map and Synchronize Mobile Cache tools.
4 - Right-click in any whitespace area of ArcToolbox > select Save Settings > To Default to retain Mobile Tools in ArcToolbox.

Note: If you performed Steps 1-4 in ArcMap, you need to perform same steps in ArcCatalog.

For more information, please review the Using the ArcToolbox Window topic in Help, http://help.arcgis.com/en/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html#//003q0000001m000000.htm. If you believe you are missing other toolboxes, perform Steps 1 and 2 above but navigate to  \Program Files\ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\ArcToolbox\Toolboxes to see list of System toolboxes.

Cheers,
Denise

That was it -- had to look in ArcToolbox under ...\Mobile10.0.  Thanks Denise.

I too am having issues in locating the Mobile tools.  I am running ArcInfo build 3200 sp2.  I have attempted to navigate to ProgramFiles\ArcGIS\Mobile 10 but there is no mobile 10 in this folder.  The only folders are ArcGIS 10 and bin.   Do I need to load this toolbox seperatly, or should it have been included in the install?

Hi Kent,

If you do not see the Mobile10.0 folder under ArcGIS as shown below in screenshot, then it would appear ArcGIS for Windows Mobile 10 (formerly ArcGIS Mobile) has not yet been installed. At 10.0 release, ArcGIS for Windows Mobile became a separate installation and can be downloaded from Esri's Customer Care Portal under Desktop and Server software downloads.

If you need assistance with downloading or installing the software, please contact Technical Support to speak with one of the support specialists.

Cheers,

Thank You very much, I did not realize it was a seperate download.  I have now loaded Mobile 10.0 and can see the toolbar now.

Hello,

I am working under ArcMap 10.1 (Basic) and ArcGIS Mobile new version 10.1.1.
I wanted to add the toolbox as you explained : I went to C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Mobile10.1.1
But there was no toolbox there only 5 folders :
bin, Help, Install, License and Support.
Any idea ?

Thx
