How to make a new feature in edit state in CollectionCompleted event

I need to check if all the editable fields are populated with new values (not default values) at CollectionCompleted event.  However the new feature is not in edit state here.  BeginEdit did not do the trick.  I have no idea how to do this.  Please help.

Forgive me to put such dummy question here.  I found the method.  It is "StartEditing".
