Error with Downloading mobile project from ArcGIS.com

Hi There,

I am working on a demo for an ArcMobile project. I have the mxd with mobile data access enabled. From the mobile project center, I saved the project to my ArcGIS.com account. I can see the project uploaded. When I go to the my mobile device and try to download the project, download fails. It seems like I am missing something here.

Appreciate any feedback.

Hi Jay,

You might be encountering known issue NIM061249; Downloading projects that are created using ArcGIS 10 Desktop from ArcGIS.com result in Mobile Cache error. The suggested workaround is to request contents of mobile cache folder from creator of mobile project and copy the information to C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\ESRI\ArcGIS Mobile\<Mobile Project Name>\MobileCache.

Please contact Esri Support and ask that your company information be added to NIM061249 for proper tracking purposes.

Thanks Denise for the quick feedback. I am assuming that I will be using Active Sync to do this cache transfer.

Hi Jay,

Yes, if you are running Windows XP then you would be using ActiveSync to connect your desktop PC to mobile PC but if using Windows Vista or Windows 7 you would be using Windows Mobile Device Center for synchronization process.
