Using a laptop, we are running ArcMap from a Citrix server using Remote Desktop Connection (RDC). We would like to connect a GPS to the laptop in order to navigate (as we are in the field). We can see the ports on the laptop from Citrix, but they are not named the conventional COM1, COM2, etc, they are using a different naming convention, that may be dynamic when the user logs in.
With that said, has anyone found a solution for connecting a laptop in the field with a connection to a Citrix server using RDC as the interface?
