10.0 Mobile Cache in 10.1

Hi

Do we have an official line on whether existing mobile 10.0 caches will be supported in 10.1, need to know for both beta testing purposes (i.e. no need to log bugs against this setup) and also for upgrading/deployment come release as significant planning would need to be made to recreate and rollout all existing caches to 10.1 created ones instead

I am also interested as to how a Mobile Cache is to be created in 10.1. According to the ESRI Deprecation Plan for 10 & 10.1

"ArcGIS Server 10.0 is the last release supporting publishing non�?�optimized map documents (MXD files). The next major release will only support publishing optimized maps (MSDs) as that is the best practice for map publishing."

When publishing a MSD service in 10.0 you do not have an option to select "Mobile Data Access", with a MXD service you do. Since creating Mobile Caches require that your service has the "Mobile Data Access" capabilities how do you create a mobile cache in 10.1????? I tried to create a mobile cache on a MSD service thru both the "ArcGIS Server Manager" and the Toolbox in 10.0 and this cannot be done on a MSD. (This is why I am still using MXDs). We currently have a mobile app out in the fields and have plans on rolling out a new mobile cache app beginning next year.

ESRI, any solution(s)???
