Unable to install Esri Maps for Office 2.1.1

Hi

I have been trying to install Esri Maps for Office 2.1.1 following a problem with the earlier version. I'm running MS Office Professional Plus 2010 32 bit. Esri Maps for Office 2.1.1 appears to  install fine and post installation is available in MS Powerpoint but does not appear on the ribbon in MS Excel. I have followed the recommended procedure and tried to enable the it as a COM Add In unde rthe customize option but to no avail.

Appreciate any ideas anyone might have on how to proceed.

When you say you've tried to enable it as an add-in, what happens?  Are you getting an error?  Do you even see Esri Maps for Office listed as a choice?  Can you check the box for it under COM Add-Ins and click OK or is that not even an option for you?  I'm not sure why the behavior in Excel would differ from that of PowerPoint if both applications are from the same suite of products.  As an extreme means of troubleshooting, you might try uninstalling Esri Maps for Office entirely, then rebooting, then re-installing it being sure to use the correct URL for AGO or Portal (whichever product you're connecting to via EMO).

Thanks for the suggestions. I've done all that but to no avail. When I click to add the COM Add In nothing happens on the ribbon.
