After I signed in, inserted a map and added spreadsheet data, the Share Map icon did not become active. How do I make this icon active (also the share layer icon is not active)?
Please check if your ArcGIS Online named user account has 'publisher' permissions. Only publishers/administrators can share layers/maps back to ArcGIS Online (in other words, create hosted services out of your spreadsheets).
