Most web mapping applications provided by ESRI have an address search using a locator search. Flex, Silverlight Viewer, WebADF apps. This functionality seems to be missing the the sharepoint map web part?
It seems sort of pointless and a lot of effort to build a spatial query routine when dropping in a locator seems the most obvious solution. There is nothing in the SharePoint map web part help that mentions locator services except when using them with List Workflows? Is this functionality coming anytime soon?
Anyone have a simple solution for basic address search in sharepoint map without using the global Search (places) tool?
