ArcGIS for Excel 2025.3.0.0.54 adds the option to use line and polygon centroids in spatial relationships, display coordinates on hover, and related record viewing, plus a more intuitive UI with improved messaging.
New features
- Centroid tool
Example: Nearest Southern California Zipcodes that fall inside Orange county boundary

Fixed bugs
- BUG-000177969 The error message 'Must declare the scalar variable ‘‘@FID’’' appears when editing the geometry of a shapefile that includes an FID field in ArcGIS for Excel.
- BUG-000177809 Can not create a new feature layer from excel worksheet with changed data schema. The error message, “Error Data already belongs to a hosted ArcGIS Layer”.
- BUG-000176830 Receiving “ERROR 089138: Failed to create Feature Service while running the Create Spatial Filter tool".
- Non-stop REST request loop when loading ArcGIS Online map containing Enterprise IWA layer in ArcGIS
- Cursor becomes arrow and cannot place a point in map after clicking "Layers" button in menu bar while in draw geometry mode
