Looking to get some information on how to set the coordinate systems within ArcGIS for Autocad when using a custom coordinate system in AutoCad Civil 3D. We use a ground-scaled coordinate system based on the Colorado Central 2011 (US ft) with a combined scale-factor and translation. This is created using the affine post-processor inside the AutoCAD software and is set within the drawing.
However, it's not recognized within the ArcGIS for Autocad tab as a coordinate system, and I'm unable to find a way to create a workable .wkt or .prj file that is recognized within the ArcGIS for Autocad environment. I've tried creating one within a text file based on the .wkt file for the Colorado Central 2011 (US ft), but when adding information about the scaling and translating it seems to wig out.
The custom coordinate system IS recognized and used within the "Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS" tool to bring in survey data and export survey data, so there's precedent for being able to translate the data into the drawing.
Has anyone come up with a workable solution for this?
