When using feature layers within the ArcGIS for AutoCAD plugin, the “Identify Feature” option opens the Attribute Editor, which currently displays the technical “field names” instead of the more user-friendly “display names” for attributes. This significantly limits usability, especially when field names are not self-explanatory or uniquely identifiable due to technical constraints or legacy naming conventions.
The display names are far more suitable for understanding the attribute information without confusion, particularly in collaborative environments where not everyone may be familiar with the database schema. Displaying only the field names makes it difficult to interpret attribute data.
Suggestion:
Enhance the Attribute Editor so that, when using the "Attribute Editor" the display names for fields are shown instead of -- or at least alongside -- the technical field names.
This can be posted as an idea to consider.
