The ApplicationPlugins folder for Autodesk products is missing.

DESCRIPTION:
In some instances, the ApplicationPlugins folder for Autodesk products is not created so when the ArcGIS for AutoCAD installer performs its checks it might present the user with a notification:

ArcGIS for AutoCAD halted installation notification.ArcGIS for AutoCAD halted installation notification.

"ArcGIS for AutoCAD setup requires Autodesk AutoCAD. Please refer to the installation notes for more information."

 

CAUSE:
The folder, "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins", is not created when the Autodesk product is installed.


SOLUTION:
Create the missing folder then rerun the ArcGIS for AutoCAD installation.

1) Open Windows File Explorer.
2) Navigate to C:\Program Files\Autodesk.
3) Create the missing folder, "ApplicationPlugins", here.
               NOTE: This action might require Administrator privileges.
4) Now run the ArcGIS for AutoCAD setup once again.
