I am currently working with a local government in Florida where the government doesn't allow the usage of DJI drones. I have a lot of projects that would benefit from the pre-flight checks and plans for taking different pictures or videos. I would love to have support of the Skydio Drones or at least the Skydio 2+ at some point in the near future.
The South Florida GIS Expo had a presenter from esri and Skydio integration was shown as being underway or one of the next steps for drones in the ArcGIS environment.
Hello, thanks for reaching out on our community. As always, we greatly appreciate your idea feedback.
At this time, we cannot offer support for Skydio drones because Skydio does not offer an SDK. Skydio does have their own flight application which is tailored to leverage their drones' technical specificities.
Earlier this year, Skydio and Esri introduced an integration between the Skydio Cloud and Site Scan, allowing you to automatically push images captured with Skydio drones to Site Scan for automatic processing using the Site Scan API (requires a Site Scan Custom Subscription). You can find more information regarding this integration here.
