Hi,
I have an integer field for recording the number of trees in a wood. The surveyor needs to tap a + button as they count the number of trees. At the moment only a value can be entered (I think) I don't think this is possible in field maps but wondered if anyone else has found a workaround as I don't want to use S123 as we are using Enterprise.
Thanks in advance
Hi @MarkYoung2721 ,
This should be achievable using Tasks. You can set up an Edit Action that has a calculated expression to take a field's current value (i.e. the tree count field) and add 1 to it. It would look like:
Let me know if you have any questions about getting it set up.
Chris
Hi Chris,
Thanks for the reply but i am using Portal 11.3 and I don't have tasks as yet.
I have implemented a bit of a convoluted way.. Create a S123 form in S123 connect, configure the appropriate integer fields as appearance: spinner hide other fields and write the values back to field maps once sent in S123. Only trouble is I can't get my S123 to download a map as it says no offline maps available
Not an immediate fix by any means, but I suggest filing an Idea to get a "spinner" appearance for integer questions added to the forms. The teams have to reassess the form spec for other pending changes to Field Maps so this might be the perfect time to sneak something simple into scope.
