I am moving our field teams off of Workforce with the creation of the new Field Maps Tasks.
I am curious to know if there is anyway to enable push notifications when a user is assigned a task. If the esritask_assignee field is set to a username, I would want them to get a push notification on their device. I know we could set up an email with Make/Power Automate, but I am specifically hoping for a push notification.
If not, is this functionality possible to set up? Is it something that will be developed for future releases of Field Maps?

I went into my app, because it's been a while, to confirm I see the map. I went out of the app and created some fake points online and assigned them to my user. The notification bar on my phone now shows task alerts are enabled. When I click that it takes me to the map and brings the tasks up.
Interesting. I'm unable to get this working for me. They only show up when the app is opened.
For those looking for advice on this thread, I've been told this by Esri
"Currently notifications only appear when the relevant map is open and set as the Current Map in Field Maps. There is an existing defect and enhancement request that are currently In Review by our Development Team:
BUG-000180932: In ArcGIS Field Maps, mobile workers do not receive task notifications unless the relevant map is open."
I'm hoping it gets fixed soon. Tasks are nearly useless for me if the fieldworkers aren't being notified when they have a new task. I might have to go the Microsoft PowerAutomate route with this.
To get task notifications, you’ll need to allow system notifications the first time you open a map with tasks. If you say no, you won’t get alerts — but the task list will still update in the app. If you allow them, notifications will start working after you relaunch Field Maps.
Note: You won’t get notifications for tasks you assign to yourself.

Thank you for your response! Where could I find the page in the screen shot you shared?
Have you noticed any inconsistencies with the notifications once you have it set up?
In testing, some users are getting a ping about half the time.
Also, is there a way for someone to reset their answer if they press no on accident?
I haven't noticed any since we went live last week.
