Populating different choices from a single attribute using differing colors

So, I am still a little new to programming for Field Maps, but I am familiar with how ArcMap and Arc GIS Pro work. I'm a little stumped but I know this should be an easy task. I am trying populate a specific choice from an attribute that has 2-5 choices to pick from a drop down menu and I would like these to show up as different colors per choice when the layer is drawn (the layer is a polygon layer). I know there is a 'select by attribute" in Arc GIS Pro, but was wondering how this would be done within  a form in the Field Maps Form Designer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Can you provide some more information about your setup, and also clarify what you're trying to accomplish? It sounds to me like someone will be editing features using Field Maps, and you want the resulting edit to alter the color of the polygon in the map? If that's the case, are you running into errors? A screenshot of your form designer and map may be helpful.
