I am setting up a field map on mobile devices for a data collection project. After I created Offline Map Areas using Field Maps Designer, the Field Map app gave a download failed error when I tried to download the offline map areas. I'm attaching the error code (3075) and log here.

Note: When I used the owner's account to sign in to the Field Map app, I was able to download the offline map areas. Signing in using the member account would give the download error.

Any insights or help would be appreciated.

It sounds like you've got ownership based control on the layer. It's the setting "Editors can only see their own features" on the layer.

Creating offline map areas ahead of time is not supported on feature layers that have ownership-based access control enabled that restricts users from viewing features created by other users.

For hosted feature layers, ensure that the Editors can see all features option is selected if you enable the Editors can only edit their own features (requires tracking) option on the hosted feature layer item.

You need to remove this owner-based control access from the map, or have users create their own offline packages.

I hear they are improving the ArcGIS Field Maps offline map packager but it's definitely worth creating an Idea if this isn't covered as it's surely something that could be picked up alongside Sync settings etc.

Thank you. I tried to change the ownership setting and recreate offline areas. It works!
