I'm attempting to use a Qstarz travel recorder xt as an external GPS receiver for field maps on a Galaxy Tab Active3. In my device settings I can see that the external receiver is paired to the tablet via bluetooth. In field maps the external receiver is set as the current location provider, however when I open a map I receive a message that a "GPS device is not connected".
I've found posts of people having a similar problem with trimble receivers where they were able to switch from their external receiver back to "Integrated" and back to the external receiver again to solve the problem but have had no luck with that.
Has anyone else had this issue or come across a solution?
