Hi,

Is it possible to control if and what layer is using Tasks in a map? E.g.

  • Have a tasks enabled layer present in a map (with tasks fields) but NOT use it for the purposes of tasks. Aka disable tasks on a map.
  • Have two task enabled layers in a map but choose which one is used for Tasks

Cheers

Chris

Hi Chris,

Both of the things you describe are possible. We have a help section on disabling tasks here.

One thing to keep in mind is that task layers are just feature layers, and when they are enabled for tasks that is tied to the map. So you can enable tasks for a layer in one map, add that same layer to a different map, and it will NOT be treated as a tasks layer until you enable tasks on the new map. You can add multiple layers to a map, enable and then disable tasks on each of them in turn, and then use them in separate maps and have them each be a task layer in their own map.

I hope that helps!
