I'm using branch versioning for field data collection in ArcGIS Field Maps. Each time a user downloads an offline map, a new version is created automatically. Is there a way to control this behavior so that versions are created per user instead of per download? Ideally, we want each user to work within a single version regardless of how many offline areas they download.
Any insights or best practices would be appreciated!
When your data is branch versioned the per-user version option isn't available, it's either per-area or not at all (docs). There's plans to give Field Maps users more control over branch versions but for now it's all or nothing.
@Jishnu_Kaithakkal At the latest ArcGIS Field Maps 25.2.0 release, there's capability to define a branch version that field teams will access when they have connectivity. Field user can then select the version of each feature service from the associated feature service drop-down menu App settings page > Versions section.
