I have a long-running problem on Field Maps. When I update the Label (display value) and Code (stored value) on ArcGIS Online, it doesn't propagate to Field Maps all the way. The old code value pops up when I tap the plus button to collect new data. Once I select one of the old, wrong codes, I get the correct pulldown in the new feature and can correct the value, but a you can imagine this is confusing for field staff.
Recently I am also not seeing any symbology next to the old codes, so users can't even pick the right value by consistent symbology.
I have tried changing the symbology and coded values in every nook and cranny of ArcGIS Online I can find, and it hasn't worked.
The old coded values also still pop up when I hit Set Default Style in the map symbology on AGOL, but I can't find any way to change the default style.
Did some more digging, and I think I found a workaround in this reply to a slightly different question. https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-field-maps-questions/can-t-add-new-template-in-field-maps-desig...
Where are you seeing these 'old' codes? If I hit the plus button to collect new data, it opens has me select what feature I want to add, but I don't see any of the domain codes until I try to populate a field.
Are these default values in the template? Snapshot would be helpfull if you still have not figured this out.

Hi Rhett, the solution I had found has stopped working, so here goes: the desktop images show some of the places I've tried to make sure the correct value shows when you create a feature. The phone screenshot shows that on Field Maps when you tap Collect, you get defunct coded domain values (and no symbology) that have since been changed on AGOL (and were never supposed to be display values). These have been following me around for years and are very confusing for staff.
Once you select an option and start creating a feature, you can change the value to be an existing, correct value and the correct symbology shows on the map.
The linked post that used to be marked as a solution worked when I tried it months ago, but the Manage button no longer shows when I open Edit on MapViewer Classic, so the solution is broken.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
One of the last updates removed the Manage button in a Map Viewer Classic Map.
However, if you open the feature layer in map viewer classic directly (as seen here), then the manage button will appear.
