idea: allow us to tag items to 'hide' in Field Maps. Any item that is tagged as hidden will not appear on the list in Field Maps to end users.
We have a lot of webmaps with ortho basemaps for example, which appear in the list because they are shared with everyone. I want those to be hidden. I want at least half of the webmaps and content to be hidden on Field Maps because while the content/items are shared with users, they are not used for collection and confuse the end users. Add a tag like this either to Field Maps Designer or AGOL/Portal that Field Maps will look at and obey.
This is already available in the Field Maps Designer. See this documentation
The Field Maps mobile app provides access to maps that are shared with or owned by a mobile worker. You may have maps that you don't want accessed from the mobile app. For example, you may have maps that are made for ArcGIS Dashboards that are for desktop use only. To hide maps you own from the Field Maps mobile app, complete the following steps...
You can hide Webmaps in field maps by changing the 'Use in Arcgis Field Maps Mobile' option in the Webmap settings. Not sure about the Base maps.
In Field Maps Designer, you can do it as a bulk action, it's very convenient.
Wonderful, that's perfect. Idea can be closed. I'm just getting back into development, many new things to spin up on. Field Maps Designer is a godsend. Thanks all!
