We would like to request support for searching by OBJECTID in ArcGIS Field Maps.

We understand that, in many GIS workflows, OBJECTID is considered a system-managed field and is not typically exposed as a user-facing identifier. However, in many operational GIS environments, OBJECTID is frequently used for troubleshooting, quality assurance and quality control, data maintenance, support cases, and communication between GIS staff and field personnel.

In our organization, we need to locate features by OBJECTID several times every day. Currently, this is not possible in Field Maps. As a result, our many users have to leave Field Maps, open a web application, search for the feature there, and then return to Field Maps. This creates unnecessary steps, reduces efficiency, and causes considerable frustration for field users.

Since search functionality already exists within Field Maps, we would like the option to include OBJECTID among the attributes that can be configured for search. This would provide significant value for organizations that rely on OBJECTID for operational and support workflows, while having no impact on organizations that choose not to use it.

Allowing OBJECTID to be configured as a searchable field would streamline troubleshooting, improve communication between office and field staff, and eliminate the need for unnecessary workarounds.

We hope Esri will consider adding this enhancement to ArcGIS Field Maps.

Thank you
