Add a configurable filter widget to ArcGIS Field Maps, much like the filter widget in Web AppBuilder.
ArcGIS Field Maps is commonly used where users collect additional information on, or collect a related record against an existing feature. It would be really useful to be able to filter between different attributes on those layers, e.g. for priority points. Symbolising according to the feature works only when a few distinct attributes need highlighting. For anything more, different field maps need to be created with the different filters set as default. This can lead to having to manage, maintain and download multiple maps. If the user could filter on attributes of a layer from a single map this would be really useful.
@TomMagdaleno It only works on text fields or fields with domains. I had to change several of our integer fields to text fields so I could use it. I'm hoping that Esri continues to improve filtering and makes it so it works on any field. The majority of what I need to filter on in the field is ID numbers.
Like others have mentioned, the filtering is very limited at the moment I don't think this idea cant be considered implemented until we can:
Filter all field types including GUID for people needing to filter by related record.
Filter by more than "Field = X" and "Field is null". We need all the filters that exist across the esri platform:
I'm hopeful we can use filtering in Field maps in the future. However, it is not useful without date and number fields being filterable.
Thanks.
Yes, we need to filter not only on text fields, but also numeric fields. I do not want to create new fields that convert numeric fields to text fields, run a scheduled model or an attribute rule and manage another field, just so I can filter in Fields Maps.....
Yes please. This will make working with the field maps app a lot more pleasant. I like a way with preset filter options for the enduser.
