Transparency on custom ArcGIS Explorer Online symbols

Hi there,

I'm currently trying to make a custom symbol for point data in ArcGIS Explorer Online. When I open the .png file in a image editor, the background is set as transparent however when I bring it in from Flickr to my webmap the transparency disappears and I'm left with a white background. Does ArcGIS Explorer Online have the ability to pick up transparent backgrounds?

Flickr tends to handle photos and other graphics strangely. Best to put those graphics on some public URL location and just use them from there, rather than try from within Flickr. Here is the test that I used to verify that this works correctly - it's a PNG with background transparency that I've uploaded to a public URL:
