Map Updates?

How often are maps updated? Specifically, the one listed below:

http://server.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/NGS_Topo_US_2D/MapServer

When zoomed in over the water, this particular map shows charting information. Since this information is dynamic, I'm interested to find out how often is it updated? Is there a particular schedule that's followed for updates of this nature?

Hi,
Looking at the service description it says:

[INDENT]Service Description: This map is in Extended Support and is no longer updated. Esri recommends that you use USA_Topo_Maps instead (ArcGIS 9.3 or higher is required).[/INDENT]

So I think the simple answer is that this map will not be updated. The recommendation is to use the new USA topo map: http://server.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/USA_Topo_Maps/MapServer

I don't know the frequency of updates, but see that it has been updated in 2011.
