ArcGIS Explorer Online Select Features does not work.

I have created a map with layers from our own ArcGISServer. Popups seem to work fine but the select features tool does not return any features even though I am dragging the box over visible features.

Anyone else have a similar problem?

Hi,
The reason is that you can only use the select tool to select features, consequently it does not work directly with map services which are tile based. You have 2 options - expose feature access on the service itself (only really necessary if you were planning to do some editing) or simply use Explorer Online to create a feature layer from you map service. To do the latter enter the url into the add content box, then hover the mouse over the result until a window appears beside it. Choose Add sub layer as features. (see screenshot)

You will also be able to configure a dashboard against this layer

I'm having a similar problem with features I added (imported) via a .csv file.  When I go to select the features using the tool, it doesn't return any items.  It does work if I select features one-by-one, however, using the mouse and the control key.  Is there a setting that needs to change so the Select Features box will work?  Appreciate any guidance you can provide.
