ArcGIS Explorer 1200 and Lost Database Connections

Installed ArcGIS Explorer 1200 and could not connect to my sde databases in ArcCatalog. Using Direct Connect.

ArcEditor 9.3.1 SP 1
MS Sequel Server 2005

Uninstalled AE 1200 and reinstalled SP 1 for ArcEditor and the connections are now OK.
