We are trying to develop a custom application with ArcGIS Explorer for a Windows tablet.  However, when I tap on a note, I don't get the popup that I get when clicking with a mouse.  Additionally, events such as Application.MapItemSelectionChanged do not seem to get fired.  Is there a work around for this so that a stylus can be used with ArcGIS Explorer?

Thanks, Tim

We recently started using a Smart board with ArcGIS Explorer. (Very fun!) To get the popup to display we clicked on the note item and held it down. Perhaps this will work with a tablet application as well. ~Ellen

Hi Ellen, thanks for your suggestion.  Unfortunately holding the stylus down doesn't work on the tablet in question.  Since I posted my question, I installed ArcGIS Explorer on another brand of tablet (a Fujitsu) with XP and the note popup works fine.  So it doesn't seem to like something with our Xplore tablet with Windows 7 which is where we need it to work on.  I wonder if there is a setting that I'm missing....

After doing some more testing, I think this issue has to do with how a tap is not being interpreted the same in Windows 7 as it is in Windows XP.  To try to get it working on a Windows 7 system, I tried running ArcGIS Explorer in XP compatiability mode but that did not solve the problem.
