After adding an excel file and checking the attribut table (all fields are there), then adding XY data I start to have problems. The points all show up on the map, when I use the identify button all the information is there for that point. The problem is that in the event layers attribut table no data is there, but all the field headings are there. Because of this I cannot make these data points into shapefiles. I have added tables, added XY data and converted to shapefiles many times and this is the first time I have run into this problem.
