Hello
I have an issue with labelling and printing clear maps for that matter.

I have data that needs to be labelled with various different attributes at any given time by my client, I have added the Feature Labeler Add-In that I thought would help them with their labelling, but the kml file that is produced for the labels is not very appealing to the eye.. Is there a way to change the font, boldness etc of the labels? This would work very well for my client but they do not like the "look" of the text.

As for the printing of a map, I need to make sure that the scale is correct on the map as it is on the screen that they are looking at. It seems to me that when the plot is created the scale does not stay accurate.

Also is there a way to choose your own scale.. say 1:500 etc..?? All I see is to zoom in to where you want to be and that is the scale you get..

Maybe some of these issues will be fixed in the new release?

Hi,

I'm afraid the Feature Labeller Add-in is "as is" - currently you can only change the properties available in the dockable window (scale and color). But I agree that it would be nice to be able to change  the font/boldness etc. so this is something we could look at improving.

With regard to your comment about printing to a map scale, we'll have to investigate that further, but i'm not aware of any changes coming in the 1500 release.

Finally if you are interested in zooming to a particular map scale then you may be interested in an Add-in that a colleague has written and posted on ArcGIS.com: Zoom To Map Scale
