Go to the linked webpage and download "E00 to SHP" from the list of translators.  You can then just open the translated shapefile like you would normally.

Is there anything other than Import71?  It doesn't work on my computer.

It's been awhile since i've needed to use it and I didn't look closely at that download page before responding, but you should install "Import71" before "E00 to Shp".

It seems like you might have done that?  Once extracted you should get an exe file to install Import71.

If that is indeed what you did, what do you mean it doesn't work on your computer?  Did the installation fail?  Are you getting error messages?  The more info you provide the better we'll be able to help you.

reading this might help, let us know how it goes:

The download from your link did not contain an .exe file, but I found a different place to download it which did have an executable file.  The error is when I filled in the information and pressed OK it told me that it could not access the data output source folder and suggests that I may not have security privileges to access the file.  I am the administrator and sole user of my computer so I know that would not be the problem.  It won't work no matter what folder I use.
