how to create animation dynamically.....

I am having a ployline featureclass in explorer. i have added all the feature names in a combobox. I want to develop a tool like flyalong tool in explorer. Here when user selects a particular feature from the combobox the fly has to start from the sarting point of the linr to end point of the line(moving animation). How to develop this. Is it possible in AGX or not. If possible,please let me know the classes we have to use for this purpose...

Hi,

I can confirm that the ArcGIS Explorer API (1500) does not contain any classes for you to programmatically create or control a fly along; it is only an application level feature. The next release which is due out in a few months (1700) will not have this feature either.

However, if you'd like to see this in the API for a future release then please submit a request to the Esri ideas website. The more people who request it (and vote for the suggestion), then the more chance that it will go in.
