Extra Whitespace in the Map Window

I am using ArcGIS explorer Desktop build 1500 in Windows XP via VM Fusion on a Mac Book Pro.

When I open the software, I have extra, random white space in the map window.  In the attached picture, you can see it is at the top.  The location varies.  Resizing the window sometimes helps, sometimes makes it worse.  The location of the white space is not always in the same place.

Is there some type of image refresh option?

Any other thoughts?

Try cleaning cache. It might help!

I have a same issue in VM. My VM does not meet requirement of video card.
Does your VM meet requirement of video card?

Thanks!  I also found it varied by how I had re-sized the window.

I had the same issue. IT couldn't figure it out either. We tryed a different video card and that did not work. So I started to troubleshoot on my own. I simply updated the driver on my video card and it worked. IT was surprised it was so easy.
