Dell Netbook

I have loaded ArcGIS Explorer on a Dell Latitude 2100 netbook and have been able to launch the application.  However, I cannot see or load any basemaps.  I have tried turning off the firewall, but no luck.
The netbook is running:
Windows 7 Pro - 32 Bit
.NET Framework 4
2 GB Ram

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your response.  I can't seem to load anything, the map display window just seems to freeze up.  I thought it might be the video card, but I can use ArcGIS Explorer Online with no problem (Panning and Zooming).
I did load the ArcGIS Explorer Build 1500 with admin privileges (not the Current User version), and there are no other ESRI software products on this computer.
I've included a snapshot of what is displayed after loading a Basemap template.  The blue area is the color of my desktop background.

Gary,

I would definitely suggest updating your graphics drivers - check the Dell website. I'm not familiar with the Latitude 2100 but you used the word "netbook" which to me suggests it's probably only got the basic onboard graphics. ArcGIS Explorer, in both 2D and 3D has relatively high graphics requirements (dedicated graphics card with >= 256MB memory and good OpenGL support).

Indeed, I have a Lenovo S10-3 and have the same issue. When I tried to use Adope Photoshop Elements, they said they needed 1024x768 @ least. Meaning that it might work on the Dell Mini with the hi graphics card (costing 50% more and NOT upgradeable) but not the stock 1200*600. Also most net-books use the Intel graphics card that shares on-board memory to save on cost (ergo more expensive hi res version with dedicated card) - don't go rush out tho, who knows if hi res ver. works?
