Hi,

I use Arcview 9.3, and in order to share projects and symbolgy with some users, I installed Arcgis Explorer. But I meet some difficulties:
1. Does it exist the possibilty to of parameterizing the zoom?

2. When you import un layer package, you can't see attribute by pointing the mouse over the object. Do I have to add .shp to see informations?

3. Is there a way to print the legend with the map?

4. How can I add .ECW files?

5. How can I add the north arrow?

6. I can't connect to GIS Server? The application says: "Autentification failed".

7. I find the print result is very bad, even if I choose 600 dpi for vector's layers. Is it normal?

Thanks a lot

hi,
by my experience I can answer this question:

1. No you can not do anything to zoom
2. When you create a package you must be sure that all shp and .lpk have "HTML Popup" activate
4. No (I have a lot of ECW file, but I must create a service to load on AGX)
6. I never do problem with GIS Server, version 9.2, 9.3 and 9.3.1 works without problem

Hop to help you
If I write something else please correct me 🙂

Hi Fabio,

2. Where do I choose "HTML pop-up"?

4. So I need to convert ECW in another format? What is AGX?

Regarding the formats that ArcGIS Explorer (AGX) supports, the link below should help:

Also, HTML pop-up must be enabled when you create the layer package in ArcMap. The following link below explains the HTML pop-up option:
