Hi,

Regarding you first question - please can you clarify the question? Do you mean when will the Basemap imagery (ESRI World? Bing?) for the Halkidiki area be updated?

Regarding your second question - are you able to provide a sample of data in Greek Grid?#

Regards

Achilleas,

RE: Basemap updates:

Bing:- You can get the latest info on the Bing update programme here: http://www.bing.com/community/blogs/maps/archive/tags/Content+Updates/default.aspx.

ESRI World Imagery:- I am not aware of any published info on anticipated updates. More info on this service can be found here at ArcGIS.com (http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=10df2279f9684e4a9f6a7f08febac2a9) and in the ArcGIS.com Help (http://www.arcgis.com/help/content/esri/contributors_wi.htm).

N.B. You could also consider the ESRI World Topographic Map which is updated via the Community Basemaps Programme: http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/arcgisonline/community-maps.html and http://www.arcgis.com/help/content/esri/contributors_wtm.htm

RE: Sample Data
If you have a small sample of the data you can send it to mbranscomb@esri.com

Achilleas,

I have just tested your sample data in ArcGIS Explorer 1500 (due out very soon) and it appears to display in the correct position (as far as I can tell).

Here are the steps I took:

1. Open ArcGIS Explorer
2. Set the Basemap to Bing Aerial imagery
3. Click the Explorer button/pearl in top left corner
4. Choose Map Properties
5. Select 2D Coordinate system tab
6. Pick ??Greek_Grid? from the drop down (via <More...> option)
7. In the Geographic Transformations box choose GGRS_1987_To_WGS_1984
8. Click OK
9. Click Add Content > Raster Data...
10. Browse for ??n.gonia_sdian63_58apo1.tif?
11. Click Open
12. This looks OK to me?

Regards

Mike
