ArcGIS Explorer 1750 Doesn't start

I had a computer with arcgis explorer 900 installed. I uninstalled the program and installed arcgis explorer 1750, the installation was successful. When I try to open the program, i see that opening screen for a few seconds and then it disappears as does the process from the task manager. If i try to open the configuration manager, it does open.

What could be the problem?

I'm suffering from the exact same problem.
1750 used to work fine. Then I tried and failed to install the 2012 beta version.
After removing the beta, 1750 started crashing when started.
Any ideas?

Have you tried updating the video driver in the computer/laptop?  We have found if 1750 crashes immediately on startup or crashes when the map is zoomed or panned, that updating the video driver usually fixes the problem.
