I know about labeling notes and that the labeling option cannot be chosen unless a point is created. I think I need to clarify what I mean by ???labeling???, because I was using it in a broader context. If I try to add any of the shapes under ???create??? (point, line, circle, arrow, etc.) the program shuts down. For example, I had a project that the Section A part is active, but Section B part has been completed. When I tried to draw a line to highlight (label) the Section A part , the program shutdown. When I tried to draw arrows to show the limits of the project, the program shutdown. When I tried to add a point then label the point with a note, the program shutdown. I can change the base map, add additional NC Map Services, zoom in and out with no problems. Anytime I try to add something via the ???create??? tool bar the program shuts down. In talking to others that have had problems, they experienced a similar issue.
