Does anyone know how the table widget decides which fields are default ticked for initial display?
I was wondering if there is somewhere to control this before even entering the table widget because I have a lot of fields and the real estate for scrolling through this area is minimal. It can be quite tedious setting this bit up.
It would be great to see if the interface could be made easier to organise the order the fields appear in too.
Table will select a maximum of 50 fields by default - if a layer has fields more than 50, only the first the 50 fields will be selected by default. However, currently there is no way of organizing fields before data entering table in Experience builder.
A possible way of setting up data in advance:
1. In ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS, go the layer item page
2. Click Create View Layer to create a view layer, define fields you want to include in this new layer (unfortunately you still need to remove fields 1 by 1, but you can save time for setting up fields for each table in Experience builder)
3. Add this new layer as data source in Experience builder and select it in table widget
