All,
I have created a map through experience builder. Recently I went to preview and publish it to see my latest changes, It did not load right even after a few minutes. Previously as I was building it and publishing it worked fine. so what could cause this?
detailed decryption
I have a experience builder app on arc GIS online with a text widget, a map and a controller bar. The bar has: table, quire, edit, search, select measure, base maps, legend, layers and filter. I was adjusting the filter to apply on start up have the filter widget panel be in a certain spot so it did not over lap . The filter panel was not opening in the right place so I tried removing it from the widget bar to on it own on the map. I also formatted the widget box to just be the small squar. When I saved it and went to preview the map it did not load right. Specifically both the static text and the dynamic did not load only the background color of the box was present and it was not same size as before. additionally the widget controller bar did not load and thus was not displayed along with the navigation tools on the map. I have tried: moving the filter to the pending list (i put it back when it did not work),
putting the filter widget back in the bar,
changing the name of the map and resaving
re-publishing the app, (because I built up a lot of changes since I last published)
exiting out of the browser (crome) and coming back in
different browsers (firefox and edge) * in edge it did display the last line of text and looked like going up off the page. this did not change decreasing the magnification of the page.
several refresh of the page.
nothing has worked any guidance is appreciated
thanks in advance
Laura
Solved! Go to Solution.
I just saw your shared app. I think it is caused by the map size settings.
Please select the map widget and open the "Style" tab. You will find the size & position settings is set as screen shot 1. Changing it to screen shot 2 will solve the problem.
You set the width as 100% and keep the ratio, so the height of the screen should be 63% of the screen width otherwise it will cut.
Hi @Laura_m_Conner ,
We did not encounter such cases before. Would it be possible that you share a sample app with us so we can debug?
Thanks,
Dan
ok i can do that how would I share it with just Esri?
Sounds good. I've sent you a direct message.
Could you share the app publicly and provide us with a link so we can take a look at the behaviour?
I Cant shair it publicly it dose contain some senative information. if there is away to shair it directly to you please send me a privet message.
